PlayMais is a fun, creative natural modelling material, which is made from Cornstarch and natural food colourings. PlayMais is made in Germany and is 100% biodegradable. The blocks are coloured using natural food colourings and by just adding a little water the blocks stick together, leaving you with a fantastic modelling material that needs no glue and is completely safe if it should find its way into a mouth!

Most PlayMais sets are supplied with a knife (also made from the cornstarch and also, of course, 100% biodegradable) as PlayMais can be cut, squeezed, shaped or rolled into virtually any shape imaginable – the possibilities are endless! PlayMais can also be stuck to many other surfaces – paper, cardboard, glass, - even flower pots – it is the ultimate creative toy that has no limitations to the way it can be used.

PlayMais has already won awards in its native country Germany, and is taking the UK market by storm, currently holding accolades from the NATLL Good Toy Awards, the ToyTalk Awards, Creative Play and Bizzie Baby Awards.
The range available in the UK consists of 4 standard size boxes, plus an additional range of 7 different themed sets, including African Jungle, Pirate Ship, Sea World and the Farm. These themed sets are supplied with cardboard pop out 3D environments – you slot these together and then decorate them with the PlayMais. This should then leave you with a pile of spare PlayMais – hopefully, in recreating the scene on the front of the box we have triggered the thought process of what you can do with this fantastic product!
There are also 2 Disney themed sets – Disney Princess and Winnie The Pooh and retail prices typically range from around £5 to £20 There are also activity and ideas books which provide plenty of inspiration, should that be required – although we normally find that children have plenty of ideas of their own when confronted with a big pile of PlayMais!
PlayMais is recommended for children from 2 years upwards - basically, as soon as they are old enough to grasp the play method of picking up a piece, dabbing it on a damp cloth and the pressing it onto another piece.
PlayMais is also an ideal product to use within a nursery or school environment and we have special mega boxes available that are ideally suited to this.
